Did you know?

- The Marshfield Historical Society (MHS) is the oldest historical organization in the town and was founded in 1913?
- The MHS has been collecting Marshfield-related artifacts since then and continues to add to the collection?
- Our collection of artifacts are kept in “state-of-the-art” storage facilities that include a controlled environment (e.g. constant temperature, humidly 24/7 and 98% UV filtration?
- That over 3000 artifacts stored in these conditions have been professionally cataloged, cleaned and stored in acid-free materials?
- That grants from the Commonwealth and the CommunityPreservation Act (CPA) and from a small endowment have funded our recent developments?
- Our curator, Dorothy MacMullen oversees our museum and research center and that she needs your help?
- Our membership dues are the lowest among all of Marshfield’s historical organizations?
- We have fun doing all these things
